Check out SmartCam, released under GPL is available from https://sourceforge.net/projects/smartcam. Currently tested on Nokia 6600, the project can grow to support Series 60 3rd edition phones.

This is what I understand. The users download the installer from the Web and run it on the PC. This takes care of both the PC-side installation and installing the software on the phone (currently, this is limited to Symbian phone with a bluetooth connectivity between the PC and the phone).

I am curious about the ease of installtion. For this app, I think installation happens on bluetooth between PC and phone. Distribuing the PC software is going to be a challenge and it will be interesting to see how Motvik solves it.

I closely follow web 2.0 and mobile harnessing start-ups. Motvik has a good idea, but to scale and become profitable, they need to focus on their business model and an array of products. But a great idea non the less.
